Sharm el Sheikh is located on the southern tip of Egypt's Sinai Peninsula. Most dive sites can be accessed by day boats, but some can be accessed by land.
Major dive sites avaliable from Sharm:
- Ras Mohammed Marine Park (do not touch the coral or feed the fish otherwise you may find yourselves with a ticket from the rangers) with Shark Reef and Yolanda Reef.
- the Straits of Tiran
- the world-famous Blue Hole at Dahab
- The Thistlegorm wreck at the entrance to the Gulf of Suez.
- etc...

Dive with Béné & Christophe. No photography for this dive. Gaëlle & Bruno did some shots. The acropora tables are really huge and fantastic here! What a great coral garden.

With Béné. We met a turtle that was eating soft corals. Just time to get the camera from Christophe and take some shots of the turtle.

Dive trip with my scuba diving club, UCB1 Plongée. Water temp was 24°C; air around 30°C. Two days of wind with some swell in Tiran Strait. Otherwise, very good conditions.
Trip: Sharm-El-Sheikh 2006, Family Trip

Family trip. Got villa in Pyramisa Hotels and Resorts in Sharm. Hotel territory was nice, but the villa was not equipped at all as they considered that in FB / AI Hotel guests don't need the coffee-maker, dishes, etct in their place.
Ras Mohammed
Tens of dive centers in Sharm El-Sheikh are oriented primarily for Ras Mohammed trips.
Ras Mohammed is the National Park. The diving with gloved hands and knives is stricktly prohibited, and dive centers help the authorities to control these requirements. The smaller sites and sections within Ras Mohammed are also great.
