Additional Infos

Lake Malawi is part of Africa’s Great Rift Valley. It boasts huge underwater rock formations as well as beautiful sandy beaches. The lake is host to one of the biological wonders of the world, the Cichlids.
Cichlids are a large and widespread family of fish found in rivers and lakes all over the world. What makes Malawi Cichlids so special is the sheer number of species and the speed at which they evolved. It is estimated that up to 1500 species exist in the lake.
