The Andaman Islands are a group of islands in the Bay of Bengal, and are part of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Union Territory of India. Port Blair is the chief community on the islands, and the administrative centre of the Union Territory.
A good place for scuba diving is the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park at Wandoor, 29 km from Port Blair. This Marine Park made-up of open sea, creeks and 15 small and large islands, is one of the best found anywhere in the world including rare corals. Good for both scuba & snorkeling.
- Access: Liveaboard trips from Phuket, or with the two local dive centers in Port Blair.
