Siquijor is a small island south of Cebu and Bohol.
The Spaniards called it "Isla del Fuego", the Island of Fire, referring to the eerie glow the island gave off as galleons passed in the night.
The people of the island have long been known to possess mysterious magical powers. Magicians, Sorcerers, even Healers are supposed to get their powers from the island, to the delight of many residents. People from the Island are usually amused when asked about it.
Popular destinations are: St. Isidore Parish Church, Cambugahay waterfall and the dripstone cave in Cantabon. Enjoy the untouched beaches, the coral reefs and the stunning sunsets.
There are a lot of dive sites around the island for all divers, except maybe some of south dive sites who sometimes have currents. Coral reefs are surrounded with colourful and unusual marine life. Macro Photographers and enthusiastic night divers will remember these unforgettable marine life.
