diving in French Polynesia
The French annexed various Polynesian island groups during the 19th century. In September 1995, France stirred up widespread protests by resuming nuclear testing on the Mururoa atoll after a three-year moratorium. The tests were suspended in January 1996.

This is an incredible place for scubadiving. Best dive sites are located on the Tuamotu archipelago (Rangiroa, Fakarava), but any other place is fine for diving (Moorea, Raļatea, Bora Bora, etc.).

Diving off Bora Bora
Hello -I'd love to get some advice about diving off Bora Bora on a budget. Best places to stay (I don't mind staying in a pension)best school to go with. FYI I'm an experienced diver and I'd like to dive with manta rays/ sharks etc rather than coral. Thanks, Kate
