Tikehau is an atoll located just northwest of Rangiroa. The island is just 20 minutes away from Rangiroa by plane, and about 50 minutes from Papeete.
On a 1987 visit, Jacques-Yves Cousteau declared Tikehau "the richest atoll on the face of the earth" !
Best dives are near the Tuheiava channel: predictable encounters with sharks, pelagics, dolphins and schooling fishes. |
