Aquitaine offers best wild beaches of Europe, mainly for Surfing. Dive sites are mainly located at the south, near the Spanish border (Hendaye, Biarritz).
The other place is Arcachon bay, with its famous Sea horses and rich fauna. From Arcachon, you also can access outcoast wrecks, not very well knows and quite deep...
This area is well known for its wines (Bordeaux red wines, such as St Emilion, St Estephe, Medoc, etc.). Don't miss to taste them !
