You will find in Ocala National Forest several of Florida's best and most accessible inland diving areas: Juniper Springs, Alexander Springs, Blue Spring, Deleon Springs...
The western side includes Crystal River. The main attraction to Crystal River is manatee. This is one of the place that allows you to swim with the manatee and interact with them (it's legal to touch the sea cow as long as you're not "harassing" or chasing it). The best period is November-March. Prices for manatee dives range from $25-$40/person, and water temp. is all year round 72°F.

Wow! This was amazing, I never thought I would be the one diving in the tank with people watching me through the glass.... so much fun, we even got to create a video in an airbubble at the bottom of the tank!

We saw blue gills and a painted turtle. Did some basic dive technique. Found an underwater pipeline and followed around it. Viz not very good, and kind of cold.
