Aloha! The island state is situated in the North Pacific Ocean, 2,300 miles (3,700 km) from the mainland. In the 19th century, Hawaii was also known as the Sandwich Islands.
The Hawaiian island chain is made up of 132 islands; the eight main islands are Ni'ihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Maui, Kahoolawe and Hawaii.
Hawaii can be dived all year round and offers some of the best dive sites in the world including various kind of dives: Lava formations, caves, shipwrecks, sharks, sea turtles... |
