The Turneffe Islands is the largest of the 3 offshore atoll reefs in Belize and the closest from Belize city. There are over 200 cayes within the reef; covered with mangroves.

The Elbow -
Great wall dive with soft and hard coral and sponges, very pristine. Saw some giant sponges up to 4-5 ft in diameter. Soft corals are huge, too.
Spotted turtle over a sandy area at about 70-80 ft depth. Cowfish and lot of other fis
On entry, there are shallow corals. Spotted a v/ large green morayeel. Large spotted sea cucumber.
Great abundance of hard coral. Lots of grey angels. Lobsters hiding under rocks.
Saw a flamingo tongue
