Sunk at 13:00 on 9 Oct, 1942 in the Bay of Biscay near Lorient, France, by a British mines. 22 dead and 30 survivors.
This is a very good wreck dive.
Since 1999 it is forbiden to dive inside the wreck Folowing the demand of the german submarines friendship which want to make a memorial from the wreck.

You dove U 1277, U 352 and U 1105... and it's not yet in Wannadive :) You should add them.
If you wanna dive the U 171, the best is to call a local dive center. Try searching Google with "Groix club plongée" in French.
I found SUBAGREC, but there are certainly other dive centers that offers this wreck dive.

Dear Sir. I am a Brazilian diver CMAS** and I am expert in U Boats. I already dove in U 1277, U 352 and U 1105. In August I am going to travel to France and I´d love to dive in U 171. Please, my English isn´t very good. Could you help me? I wait your answer. Greetings. Nestor
