Veenblokken en veenwanden met paling en zoetwaterkreeftjes.
Pas op instabiliteit van de veenwand.
Watergras met snoek, dus een aanrader voor een nachtduik.
Pas op! surfers gebruiken de plas ook. Dus maak het liefst geen opstijging in het "blauw". In ieder geval niet zonder een ballon.
Dit oude gedeelte van de plas is max. 22 meter diep.
